GAME DEFINITIONS
For every game:
Keep everyone’s gross score on the card and in Golf Genius. Check GG vs the card, hole by hole at the end of your game. If your score is not needed for a given hole you may pick up and record your most likely score otherwise putt out.
All results are based on net scores. Your scores will be posted by Golf Genius when applicable.
1 BEST BALL– 4 Person Team
This is a 4-person team net event. Golf Genius will calculate the 1 best net score for each hole.
1 BETTER BALL– 2 Person Team
This is a 2-person team net event. Record each player’s gross score for each hole. Golf Genius will calculate the best net scores.
2 BEST BALLs– 4 Person Team
This is a 4-person team net event. Golf Genius will calculate the 1 best net score for each hole.
Blind Nine
This is a 4-person team net event. Record each player’s gross score for each hole. Golf Genius will calculate the 2 best net scores on the 9 holes chosen by the pro-shop.
2BB of Couples
The low net from each couple will count for the team score on each hole.
Cha Cha Cha (123 BB)
On par 5’s the 1 best net ball is used. On par 4’s 2 best net balls are used. On par 3’s three bast net balls are used.
Jack & Jill
The low net from one man and one woman will count for the team score on each hole.
Lone Ranger– 4 Person Team
On each hole 2 scores will count. One person is the Lone Ranger and their score counts. The better ball of the other 3 players will count as the second score for the team.
The person who is the lone ranger will be designated on the scorecard. Player one on hole one, player two on hole etc.
Mutt & Jeff
This is a 4-person team net event. Record each player’s gross score for each hole. The computer will calculate the 2 best net scores on the Par 3 & Par 5 holes.
Partner Swap
Players are numbered 1-4. (four-person team game).
Two best balls of each hole are chosen.
Holes 1 to 6 are the best ball of each pair: 1 and 2 and 3 and 4.
Holes 7 to 12 are the best ball of each pair: 1 and 3 and 2 and 4.
Holes 13 to 18 are the best ball of each pair: 1 and 4 and 2 and 3.
Pinehurst/ Chapman
This round is not posted
You will be playing as 2 person teams each couple holing one ball.
Your couples handicap will be 60% of the lower handicap and 40% of the higher handicap for your selected tees.
Both golfers in each couple hit drives.
Each plays the other's ball for the second shots.
The best of the second shots is selected, and from there the couple plays alternate shot into the hole.
The third shot is taken by the person who did not play that ball for the second shot.
The net score from each couple will count.
Progressive– 4 Person Team
This is a 4-person team net event. Record each player’s gross score for each hole. Golf Genius will calculate the appropriate net scores. Holes 1-6-1BB, Holes 7-12 2BB, Holes 13-18 3BB.
Shamble 2 BB– 4 Person Team
Scores are not posted
This is a 4-person team net event. Record each player’s gross score for each hole. Golf genius will calculate the 2 best net scores. Everyone tees off. Pick the best drive and everyone plays their own ball from there into the hole.
Team Stableford 2 Best Balls
Each player plays his or her own ball and record the gross score for each hole.
The two scores with the most Stableford points will be used for each hole. The points will be awarded as follows:
Net Bogie =1 pt.
Net Par =2pt.
Net Birdie =3pt.
Net Eagle =4pt.
Net Double Eagle =5pt.
Hole in One = 6pt.
TWO STEP (ODD EVEN)
1best ball on odd holes and 2 BB on even holes. and the computer will do the scoring. Please compare all scores in Golf Genius with a score card hole by hole when done.
Waltz (123 BB)
This is a four-person team game. For the team score: On hole 1, one best ball is used. On hole 2, two best balls are used. On hole 3, three best balls are used. On hole 4, 1 best ball is used. On hole 5, two best balls are used ETC.
